Project narrative

On April 22, 2020, China’s Sinopharm International Corporation (Sinopharm) donated 9,800 medical protective face masks, 97,600 surgical masks, 10,000 disposable coveralls, and 1,000 medical goggles to the Sri Lanka Ministry of Health and Indigenous Medical Services. The medical protective face masks were worth USD $33,000, the surgical masks USD $51,000, the disposable coveralls USD $218,400, and the medical goggles USD $4,000. This resulted in a total donation amount of USD $306,400. This donation was made to improve Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 prevention efforts.
