Project narrative

On March 31, 2021, the Chinese Embassy provided 1,000 tablet computers to the Davao City Government in the Philippines. This donation was made to support virtual education during the COVID-19 pandemic. The monetary value of this donation is unknown. A virtual handover ceremony was held for this donation. China’s Ambassador to the Philippines, Huang Xilian, attended the ceremony and delivered the computers to the Mayor of Davao, Sara Duterte. Both representatives delivered speeches after the material handoff.
