Project narrative

On August 20, 2021, the Chinese Government provided 1 million Sinopharm vaccines to the Government of the Philippines. The shipment of vaccines arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila, the capital city of the Philippines. A handover ceremony was held for this donation at the airport. The President of the Philippines, Rodrigo Duterte, and the Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines, Huang Xilian, attended the ceremony. The Philippine Health Secretary, Francisco Duque, and the government’s general coordinator for epidemic response also attended the event.
