Description

On September 9, 2021, the Chinese Government provided educational scholarships to students and teachers in the Philippines at the Chinese Government Scholarship Awarding Ceremony. Then, on September 10, 2021, the Philippine Chinese Education Center hosted the "China Ambassador Education Fund" 2nd Chinese School Teacher Award, the 7th Chinese School Student Award, and the Bursary Online Award Ceremony. 50 teachers and 171 students received recognition and funding during these ceremonies. The monetary value of the scholarships is unknown. China’s Ambassador to the Philippines, Huang Xilian, issued admission letters to the award-winning Filipino student representatives. The recipients are unable to travel to China due to the COVID-19 pandemic but will participate in online learning courses and other learning opportunities until international travel to China is permitted.
