Project narrative

On December 29, 2021, the Government of China provided committees within Myanmar's government a grant of USD $500,000. Of this money, USD $300,000 was donated to the National Unity and Peacemaking Committee, and USD $200,000 was donated to the Joint Monitoring Committee on Ceasefire. A donation ceremony was held, and was attended by the Chinese ambassador to Myanmar Chen Hai and the chairman of each committee, and other government officials. The purpose of this grant is to 'support the implementation of the peace process in Myanmar.'
