Project narrative

On March 30, 2022, the Chinese Government donated 2.2 million additional doses of Sinovac Covid-19 vaccines to the Government of Myanmar via COVID-19 Vaccines Global Access (COVAX) — a worldwide initiative aimed at equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines directed by the GAVI vaccine alliance, the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations, the World Health Organization, and UNICEF. In 2021 and 2022, the Chinese Government donated approximately 23.7 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines to the Government of Myanmar.
