Full Description

Project narrative

In 2021, China Everbright Bank issued a $40 million bilateral loan for the Ningshun Zhengsheng 50 MW Wind Power Project. This loan carried a maturity period of three years. China Energy Construction Company was the investor of the project. The total cost of the project, located in the Ninh Thuan province, was $73.91 million, though the exact amount invested by China Energy is unknown. The project includes 16 wind turbines, thirteen of which are 3 MW and three that are 3.6 MW. It also includes a 110 kV booster station with annual grid-connected power generation of maximum 137.85 million kWh. The clean energy generated by this project will save roughly 43,400 tons of standard coal, and reduce sulfur dioxide emissions by about 825.27 tons, nitrogen oxide emissions by about 468.83 tons, and carbon dioxide emissions by about 102,500 tons. It will also ease the transmission pressure of the connecting line from central Vietnam to southern Vietnam. YunDa Co. Ltd. also invested in the project. Guangdong Thermal Power Company and China Energy worked to implement this project. Implementation began on April 25, 2019. The first hoisting was completed in December 2020. The first turbine was connected to the grid in June 2021. The project was approved to be put into operation on October 21, 2021. The project is the first wind power project invested and officially operated by a Chinese enterprise in Vietnam, and it is also the first onshore wind power project in Vietnam that uses Chinese brand wind turbines.
