Project narrative

On August 27, 2021, China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs donated medical supplies worth RMB $1.5 million to border regions of Myanmar, including Kachin and Shan states. The supplies includes protective materials, disinfectant, thermal scanners and oxygen generators. The purpose of this donation is to aid Myanmar in COVID-19 prevention efforts. A donation ceremony was also held in the Yunnan province of China. The donations will be delivered to Myitkyina, the capital of Kachin state, and then distributed to other areas. This is the first of two batches of donations from China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Myanmar's border regions. The other batch is recorded in Record ID#96172
