Project narrative

On September 9, 2022, the Chinese Government delivered an additional 2 million donated Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine doses to the Government of Myanmar. A handover ceremony was held at Yangon International Airport. In attendance were Zheng Zhihong, minister counselor of the Chinese Embassy to Myanmar, and Tun Min, deputy director-general of Yangon Regional Health Department. In 2021 and 2022, the Chinese Government donated approximately 23.7 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines to the Government of Myanmar.
