Project narrative

On September 5, 2021, China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs donated a second batch medical supplies worth RMB $2.97 million to the Shan region of Myanmar. The donation included surgical gloves, masks, hazmat suits, medicine, nucleic acid testing kits and oxygen generators, and the purpose of this donation was to aid Myanmar in COVID-19 prevention efforts. A donation ceremony was held on the same day in the city of Ruili in the Yunnan province of China. This is the second batch of medical supplies sent to Myanmar via China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs; the first batch was sent on August 27, 2021.
