Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On August 11, 2021, the Gansu Province of China sent 9,000 boxes of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) granules in order to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic. Gansu is a major TCM production base in China and has a long history of growing herbs used in the Chinese system of medicine. The Gansu University of Chinese Medicine is prominent producer and supported this shipment. The type of TCM that made up this donation is said to prevent mild COVID-19 cases from becoming severe ones. It is unclear exactly what type of medicine this was, or the monetary value of this donation.
