Project narrative

In April 2008, China began sponsoring the Tiquizambi Area Development Program (Programa de Desarrollo de Area Tiquizambi) through World Vision International. The program was intended to help improve the well-being of boys, girls, and adolescents in the partner communities in the Tiquizambi-Tixán development program. The project ended September 2023. The total project cost was USD 8,110,397.36. Of that, the following disbursements were made: USD $492,721.08 in 2009, USD $450,710.90 in 2010, USD $479,029.86 in 2011, USD $587,319.30 in 2012, USD $571,185.86 in 2013, USD $574,131.28 in 2014, USD $603,491.06 in 2015, USD $610,144.21 in 2016, USD $675,605.79 in 2017, USD $570,921.24 in 2018, USD $596,113.83 in 2019, USD $642,636.35 in 2020, USD $525,889.94 in 2021, USD $384,377.02 in 2022, and USD $226,504.88 in 2023.
