Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

From December 9th to 10th, 2021, the Chinese Embassy in Samoa and the Ministry of Health of Samoa jointly organized the Chinese medical team to go to Savai'i Island to carry out the free clinic activity of "sending doctors to the island". The Chinese medical team was the fifth Chinese medical team to visit Samoa (see Record ID#93478). Ambassador Chao Xiaoliang and Minister of Health of Samoa Valesi attended the launching ceremony of the event, and donated a batch of anti-epidemic materials to the grassroots community of Savai'i Island in the name of the embassy. During the free clinic, the Chinese medical aid team provided free examination, diagnosis and treatment for 252 residents of Savai Island, and donated a batch of commonly used medicines to the local health center, which was warmly welcomed by the people.
