Project narrative

On July 20, 2021, the Chinese Embassy provided scholarships to impoverished students at the University of Burundi. Zhao Jiangping, the Chinese Ambassador to Burundi, attended the signing ceremony along with the president of the University of Burundi, and Zhou Hong, the Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Burundi. This was the fourth annual implementation of the scholarship. The purpose of the scholarship is to provide financial aid to impoverished students. The monetary value of this donation is unknown.
