Project narrative

On December 3, 2021, the Chinese Government donated K40 million in medical supplies to the First Lady's Shaping Our Future Foundation in Malawi. The donation occurred at a handover ceremony which was held at the Presidential Palace of Malawi. Ambassador Liu Hongyang, President Ma's wife Monica Chakwila, and Vice Minister of Health Chrissy Kanyasho attended the ceremony and delivered speeches. The donation will be used to protect the health of Malawian citizens and will be distributed to health facilities across the country. During the ceremony, the Chinese Government also donated K24 million (Record ID#97702) to the foundation to support girls' education.
