Project narrative

On November 26, 2021, the Chinese government provided K200 million in agriculture assistance to Malawi. The donation took place at a handover ceremony in the Calunbo area of Lilongwe. The donation will be used to support Malawi in its construction of a rural area, green greenhouses, and the cultivation of vegetables. The donation is also an effort to relieve the Malawian people of poverty. Liu Hongyang, Ambassador to Malawi, Malaysian Minister of Agriculture, Robin Lowe, and former Malaysian President Joyce Banda attended the ceremony and delivered speeches respectively. The China Agricultural Expert Group, President Ma's Village Transformation Advisor, Malaysian Parliamentarians, local government officials, traditional leaders, and villagers' representatives participated in the event.
