Project narrative

On March 21, 2021, the Chinese government provided the sixth batch of COVID-19 vaccines to Chile. The vaccines were developed by China Kexing Company and the shipment arrived in Santiago, the capital of Chile. The purpose of these vaccines is to support Chile’s COVID-19 response and prevention efforts. The monetary value of this donation is unknown. A reception ceremony was held for this donation at the airport in Santiago. Chilean Minister of Health Paris, Deputy Minister of Public Health Daza, and Deputy Minister of International Economic Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Yanez attended the ceremony. China’s Ambassador to Chile, Niu Qingbao, was also invited to attend the ceremony.
