Project narrative

On January 28, 2021, the Chinese government provided 2 million COVID-19 vaccines to Chile. The vaccines were developed by China Kexing Company and the shipment arrived in Santiago, the capital of Chile. The purpose of this donation is to support Chile’s COVID-19 response efforts. The monetary value of this donation is unknown. A reception ceremony was held for this donation. Chilean President Pinera, Minister of Health Paris, Deputy Foreign Minister Valdivia, and Charge d'Affaires Zhou Yi attended the ceremony.
