Project narrative

On May 24, 2021, the Chinese government provided 2.2 million Sinovac COVID-19 vaccines to Chile. The vaccines arrived in a shipment to the international airport in Santiago, Chile. The purpose of this donation is to support Chile’s COVID-19 response efforts. The Chilean President, Sebastian Pinera, attended a welcome ceremony at the airport upon the arrival of the vaccine shipment.
