On April 21, 2021, the Chinese Embassy in Madagascar donated a batch of anti-epidemic materials to hospitals in the Amoron'i Mania region of Madagascar. The materials were donated to the National Assembly of Madagascar, who will then distribute them to the hospitals. The materials donated include ventilators, oxygen concentrators, forehead thermometers, medical masks, and KN95 masks. The purpose of this donation is to support local medical staff in their COVID-19 response efforts. The monetary value of this donation is unknown. An online handover ceremony was held for this donation. Guo Xiaomei, China’s Ambassador to Malaysia, Minister Counselor Zhang Wei of the Embassy, and the Speaker of the National Assembly of Madagascar jointly attended the ceremony.
