Project narrative

On March 30, 2021, the Chinese Government sent a shipment of 25 tons of medical supplies to Venezuela. The shipment included 540,000 PCR tests and other supplies. The purpose of this donation is to support Venezuela’s COVID-19 response efforts. The monetary value of this donation is unknown. A handover ceremony was held for this donation at the Simón Bolívar International Airport. The Venezuelan Health Ministry’s Vice-Minister for Resources, Technology and Regulation, Gerardo Briceño, attended the ceremony.
