According to the website of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on October 22, 2021, Ambassador Wang Gang in Uruguay attended a handover ceremony for aid materials presented to a women and children's shelter run by the Ministry of Social Development of Uruguay. The center provides emergency shelter for women and children in vulnerable situations, helping them to overcome difficulties and regain confidence in life. The value of the grant was unspecified.
