Project narrative

According to the website of National Library of Uruguay, September 17, 2021, an exchange of book donations took place between the National Library of Uruguay (BNU) and the Embassy of the People's Republic of China. The monetary value of the grant is unknown. The event was attended by the director of the National Library, Valentín Trujillo; the executive director of the Uruguayan Agency for International Cooperation (AUCI), Mariano Berro, and the cultural attaché of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Uruguay, Tang Xiaoquin. The donated books deal with the history, politics, society and culture of China. Some of the books were in Spanish, and others were in English and Chinese.
