Description

On July 28, 2021, a handover ceremony was held at the Bahamas Ministry of Health building for a donation of medical supplies from the Government of China to the Ministry of Health of the Bahamas. The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Health of the Bahamas, Renward Wells, as well as the Chinese Ambassador to the Bahamas, Dai Qingli. The donation included 10,000 Tuberculin syringes, 3,000 pairs of coveralls, 10,000 pairs of Nitrile gloves, 30,000 N95 face masks, and 100,000 medical face masks. The purpose of this donation is to aid the Bahamas in COVID-19 relief efforts and maintain positive relations between the two countries. The supplies were valued at BSD $78,000.
