Project narrative

On July 4th, 2022, the Chinese government donated three containers of medical supplies worth VT $50 million to the Vanuatu government. Charge D’Affairs from the Chinese Embassy, Jiang Pu, who handed over the supplies to Acting Minister of Health, James Bule, said the donation included three containers of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ventilators which arrived in Port Vila last month, June 2022, following on the Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi’s visit. The donation will be used in the fight against COVID-19.
