Description
On September 30, 2021, the Yantai Municipal People’s Government of the People’s Republic of China donated two buses to the Jamaican Ministry of Health and Wellness in a symbolic virtual handover ceremony. The vehicles, valued at ¥878,597 RMB, were in operation at the time of the ceremony, managed by the Southeast Regional Health Authority (SERHA). When the ceremony was held, the buses had already visited twelve sites across the island. The buses served as mobile vaccination units to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in the country. At each vaccination stop, approximately 200 people were vaccinated, according to the Jamaican Minister of Health and Wellness.
