Project narrative

On May 29, 2013, Zhejiang University donated 21 volumes of books, “The Complete Collection of Paintings of the Song Dynasty” (Chinese: 宋画全集), to the British Library. The books featured high-resolution images of approximately 1,000 paintings that were produced during the Song dynasty, which ruled China between 960 and 1279.
