Project narrative

In September 2007, the Zhuhai People's Government donated a bronze statue of Huang Kuan (黄宽) to mark the opening of the Confucius Institute for Scotland at the University of Edinburgh. Huang Kuan was the first Chinese graduate of any European University who graduated in medicine from the University of Edinburgh in 1857.
