Project narrative

On December 15, 2021, two members of the 21st Chinese medical team of Cameroon provided a day-long lecture on traditional Chinese medicine usage. The lecture included training on acupuncture, herbal medicines, massages, exercise, and dietary therapy. The lecture took place at the Gynaeco-Obstetric and Paediatric Hospital in Yaoundé, the capital of Cameroon. 50 Cameroonian doctors and nurses attended the training. The monetary value of this training is unknown. Tian Yuan, the head of the Chinese medical team in Cameroon, stated that the training was part of efforts by China to promote the use of TCM in Cameroon's healthcare system.
