Project narrative

In April 2011, Hanban donated over 2000 Chinese books and DVDs to Monash University. The books were hand-picked by both Monash University Library and Chinese Studies staff, and were intended to be used by Chinese language and Chinese Studies students. The Chinese Consul General to Melbourne, Shi Weiqiang, attended a handover ceremony of the books with university officials. The financial value of the donated materials is unknown.
