Project narrative

On March 4, 2011, the Shunde Municipal Government gifted a statue of Bruce Lee to the Kogarah City Council. The statue is a replica of a 19 metre high statue in Shunde’s "Bruce Lee Paradise" theme park. Shunde is a district in Foshan City, China. The purpose of the statue was to mark the one year anniversary of Kogarah's Friendship City Agreement with the City of Shunde, Bruce Lee's ancestral homeland. The financial value of the statue is unknown.
