Project narrative

In April 2020, China's National Health Commission dispatched a team of medical experts to Saudi Arabia to assist its COVID-19 pandemic response. The team consisted of eight members from the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Health Commission and included experts in laboratory testing, infectious disease prevention and control, respiratory and critical care, nursing, and traditional Chinese medicine. The team was to provide guidance and consulting and medical supplies (donated by the Ningxia Autonomous Region Government) to the Chinese Embassy, employees of Chinese companies, and Chinese expatriates. The expert team was also visit, exchange with, train, and consult with Saudi Arabian officials and institutions on COVID-19 prevention, control, diagnosis, and treatment. The expert team's mission was completed on April 25, 2020.
