In December 2020, the Piraeus Port Authority SA donated 4,000 Christmas gifts to children from poor families in Piraeus, Perama, and Salamis municipalities. The financial value of the gifts is unknown.

1. In 2016, Chinese state-owned enterprise China COSCO Shipping Corporation Limited (COSCO) purchased a 51% stake in Piraeus Port Authority S.A. (PPA). In 2021, it acquired another 16% stake, raising its interest to 67%.
