Project narrative

On April 23, 2020, the China COSCO Shipping Corporation Limited (COSCO) donated 80,000 masks and 288 bottles of antiseptic to the municipal governments of Piraeus, Keratsini-Drapetsona, Salamis, and Perama. The purpose of the donation was to fight the COVID-19 pandemic and promote public health. The delivery of the materials took place on April 23, 2020 at a donation ceremony attended by Mr. Fu Chengqiu, President of the Piraeus Port Authority SA.

1. In 2016, Chinese state-owned enterprise China COSCO Shipping Corporation Limited (COSCO) purchased a 51% stake in Piraeus Port Authority S.A. (PPA).
