Project narrative

On April 3, 2012, the China State Council Information Office (SCIO) donated 1,850 Chinese books to the Soka University Library. A variety of written works were presented, including "History of China" and "The Complete Works of Lu Xun." This donation will help Soka University open a Chinese section of its library. On April 3, 2012 a book presentation ceremony was held in the Soka University headquarters building. Wang Chen, Director of the State Council Information Office, attended the event. The book donation was part of the 2012 "Experience China" cultural exchange program co-sponsored by the National Information Office and the Chinese Embassy in Japan. The financial value of the donation is unknown.
