On April 15, 2020, Guangxi University donated 2,000 masks to Gifu University for COVID-19 prevention. The masks were were received by the university on April 15, 2020 and distributed to the Gifu University Hospital and daycare centers on campus. Guangxi University is one of Gifu University's four overseas partner universities. The total financial value of the masks is unknown.
