Project narrative

On December 5, 2003, the Chinese Ministry of Education donated 1,100 Chinese books to J. F. Oberlin University as a part of a Sino-Japanese Friendship Program. The donation included books, dictionaries, and encyclopedias. In a gift ceremony on December 5, 2003 in the university's Taiheikan Lecture Hall, Cheng Yonghua, the Temporary Charge d'affaires of the Chinese Embassy to Japan, presented the books to J. F. Oberlin University on behalf of the Ministry of Education and the China National Office for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language.
