On November 28, 2003, a syndicate of 11 banks — including the Bank of China (BOC) — signed a $300 million SGD syndicated term loan facility with Fraser & Neave Ltd. — a Singapore-incorporated food and beverage, publishing and printing industries conglomerate listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange — for unspecified purposes. BOC joined the syndicate as a participant, contributing $10 million SGD. Other members of the syndicate include Credit Agricole Indosuez ($30 million SGD), Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation, Limited (OCBC Bank) ($30 million SGD), and Standard Chartered Bank ($70 million SGD) as arrangers. Participants includes Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, Ltd. (BTMU) ($43 million SGD), Bank of East Asia Limited (BEA) ($26 million SGD), BNP Paribas S.A.
