On April 28, 2020, the City of Meishan donated 20,000 masks to the Hiroshima Prefectural Government for COVID-19 prevention. The financial value of the donation is unknown. The donation was a part of a larger relief package assembled by the Sichuan Provincial Government and other organizations in Sichuan, China.
