Project narrative

In March 2020, the Fuqing Municipal Government donated an unknown number of masks to unspecified recipients in Japan for COVID-19 prevention. On March 21, the city of Fuqing, located in eastern China's Fujian Province, pledged to ship 700,000 face masks to countries including Italy, Britain, and Japan. On March 20, 2020, the first batch of nearly 300,000 masks from Fuqing City were sent to Italy, the United Kingdom, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Macao and other countries. It is unknown how many of these masks were sent to Japan. The financial value of the donation is unknown.
