On March 27, 2020, the Beijing Municipal Government donated 1,000 500 mL bottles of disinfectant to the City of Yokohama Municipal Government, located in Kanagawa Prefecture, for COVID-19 prevention. The disinfectant was received on March 27, 2020 and distributed to nursing care facilities in Yokohama. Beijing and Yokohama have been sister cities since 2006. The financial value of the donation is unknown.
