Project narrative

On May 25, 2020, the Tianjin Municipal Government donated 100,000 masks to the City of Kobe Municipal Government for H1N1 influenza response. On May 25, 2020, a mask donation ceremony was held at the Kobe City Hall. It was attended by Tatsuro Yada, the Mayor of Kobe, and Consul Liu Yunqing from the Chinese Consulate General in Osaka. The masks were distributed to citizens including elementary and junior high school students. Tianjin and Kobe City signed a friendship city alliance in 1973. The financial value of the donation is unknown.
