Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On November 2, 2009, a group of banks -- including Agricultural Bank of China and ICBC -- reached financial close with Trafigura Beheer B.V. on a USD 700 million revolving credit facility. Proceeds from the facility will be used to refinance a USD 200 million existing revolving credit facility, which was due to mature in November 2009, along with working capital purposes. The facility has a tenor of 364 days, with two 1 year extension options; the margin is unknown. This loan refinances the 2007 loan (Record ID#97977). ABC's contribution is captured via Record ID#97988. ICBC's contribution is captured via Record ID#97989. Agricultural Bank of China, ANZ, DBS, ICBC, Standard Chartered Bank, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp., Westpac, and UOB served as mandated lead arrangers. An unknown number of lenders joined the facility via syndication at lower tiers.

1. AidData is unable to ascertain individual contributions to the RCF from members of the syndicate, nor is it able to identify all members of the lending syndicate. Therefore, the transaction amount has been left blank to avoid overcounting the contributions of the two Chinese banks. This issue warrants further investigation.
