Project narrative

On November 25, 2007, the Shandong Provincial Government donated a statue of Confucius and five disciples to the Yamaguchi Prefectural Government in recognition of the 25th anniversary of the friendship agreement between Shandong Province and Yamaguchi Prefecture. The statue is located in the Meiji Restoration Centennial Park in Yamaguchi City. An unveiling ceremony, attended by the Governor of Yamaguchi Prefecture, was held on November 25, 2007. The financial value of the donation is unknown.
