Project narrative

On April 7, 2014, Shanghai International Studies University donated a statue of Confucius to Osaka Sangyo University. The statue symbolizes friendly cooperation between the two universities and honors the Confucius Institute of Osaka Sangyo that was founded in 2007. On April 7, 2014, the statue was unveiled at a ceremony attended by Zhang Feng, Vice President of Shanghai University of Foreign Studies, and Shunichiro Sejima, President of Osaka Sangyo University. The financial value of the statue is unknown.
