Project narrative

In late June 2020, the People's China Magazine Company, a Japanese-language monthly magazine under the Chinese state-controlled China International Communications Group (CICG), donated 900 masks to the Ina, Saitama Prefecture Municipal Government for COVID-19 prevention. The masks were presented by the Tokyo bureau chief of People's China Magazine at the Ina town hall. The financial value of the donation is unknown.
