Project narrative

On April 9, 2020, the Shanxi Provincial Government donated 20,000 surgical masks and 1,000 sets of protective clothing to the Saitama Prefectural Government for COVID-19 prevention. The masks were intended to be distributed to elderly welfare facilities, and the protective clothing was intended to be distributed to medical institutions throughout the prefecture. Shanxi Province and Saitama Prefecture formed a friendly alliance in October 1982. The financial value of the donation is unknown.
