Project narrative

On 18–19 November 2008, Chinese President Hu Jintao visited Cuba and announced a package of humanitarian and reconstruction support following the devastation caused by Hurricanes Gustav, Ike, and Paloma. During the visit, China delivered 1,600 cotton blankets and 1,600 quilts valued at 600,000 yuan (approximately USD 88,000) to hurricane victims.
