Project narrative

On 20 December 2017, the Chinese Embassy in Uganda and a delegation from China’s Ministry of Public Security met with Inspector General of Police General Kale Kayihura at Uganda Police Headquarters in Naguru, Kampala. During the meeting, China committed to providing training for Ugandan police officers in advanced areas of law enforcement, including criminal investigations, crime intelligence, and cybercrime. Chinese officials noted that the program would also support joint investigations into the murder of two Chinese nationals in Kampala earlier that year.
