Project narrative

On 17 September 2012, China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) Uganda donated scholastic materials and foodstuffs worth USD 15,000 (UGX 37.5 million) to Buhuka Primary School in Hoima District, western Uganda. The package included exercise books, pencils, pens, school bags, beans, rice, and maize flour, benefiting over 600 pupils and teachers. The donation was presented as part of CNOOC’s community investment program in Uganda’s oil-producing region, with the aim of supporting primary education and improving nutrition for students and staff.
